TRESemmé Expert – Coconut Milk & Aloe Vera / Product Review

Hi everyone!

I will be reviewing the new TRESemmé Expert Botanique, infused with Coconut Milk and Aloe Vera on the blog today. These products have been sent through by Beauty Bulletin, so I am really excited to share my thoughts on the products received! If you would like to know more about it, keep reading…

My Story

Before I started my transition, I used to love using Tresemmé because it worked well with my hair and I loved the fact that it came in a 750ml bottle, which was perfect for my bush. As soon as I transitioned, I felt like someone that was on a diet/healthy lifestyle because I now had to read the back of the bottle and see what it contained. So, knowing that Tresemmé had contained all these harmful chemicals such as parabens and sulphates, I had to ditch them and move onto something else (sigh). About a year after I transitioned I had seen a few hair bloggers talking about the Tresemmé naturals range, however I couldn’t find it anywhere which was rather frustrating and eventually gave up.

So, about a week ago I was extremely excited when I heard that Tresemmé had finally launched their naturals range and I was able to give it a try!

As you will notice, on the bottle it states silicon-free only, however these products are free from parabans as well as dyes and has a lower sulphate content. I know most naturals might not agree to use anything with sulphates in it, however I feel that everything in moderation. I love the fact that “These products have been packed with natural ingredients to ensure that your hair is cleansed and any build-up is removed whilst retaining the hairs moisture.”

My Thoughts?

Firstly, I am so glad that I can finally use Tresemmé again (whoop, whoop)! Secondly it has all the good stuff such as coconut milk and Aloe Vera, which is very good for your hair! I used both the shampoo and conditioner and loved that after just one wash, the shampoo could remove all my product build up compared to the 2/3 washes that I normally have to do. The easy squeeze bottles make it easy to use in the bath and shower without having water to get into and preventing you from spilling any product on the floor. I was a little worried that the conditioner wouldn’t smooth out my hair because it is silicon-free, however it was easy to detangle with my fingers as well as with my tangle teezer. My hair was left feeling so soft and extremely moisturized after I had rinsed the conditioner out. Now you all know from my previous posts, that the scent of the product is the winning factor and this has a long-lasting smell, even 3 days after I have washed my hair. I am basically sold on these products and will be purchasing them regularly.

Where can I buy them from?

Both the shampoo and conditioner are now available from these selected stores:

Clicks, Dis-chem, Game, Shoprite, Spar, Pnp and Checkers for R79.99 each.

I will also be posting the product review on my channel, so keep a look out for that.

I trust that this review has been helpful.

Until Next Time,
